If you’ve been following along on a Friday for the #flashbackfriday #kidspot #voicesof2014 fun you might have noticed I spent a fair amount of my childhood at the beach. So this week’s prompt “Beach Baby” should have been a really easy one right?
For the life of me though I couldn’t find a single photo of me as a baby at the beach. From about the age of nine up however there are quite literally hundreds and here is one of them.
My brother and I circa 1976 at our favourite beach, Currumbin. We’d just got a new puppy, Midgie, and I think we were taking turns burying her in the sand.
This photo brings back a lot of happy memories of simple times spent with family just hanging. And we did a lot of hanging. You know, not doing anything much really. To me it was idyllic.
I’m surprised at how fresh this photo looks – could have been taken yesterday. And it kind of feels that way too….
