Happy New Year! Yeah I know it’s mid-February but for me the working year always get started around February. I have such mixed feelings at this time of year. Here in Australia our summer school holidays have come to an end and as much as I love having all the family at home, by about now I’m itching to get back to work. My mind is racing with ideas for new projects and I just want some alone time to work on them. No matter how hard I try I can’t manage to get much done when everyone’s around. It’s noisy, there’s too many activities going on, everyone wants my attention and if I’m honest, I like to join in with them all. So I just figure it’s best to put my working life on hold until they’re all back at school (including the biggest kid – my school teacher husband).
Not that I haven’t managed to get a few little things done. Over the past few weeks I’ve put some printables together just for you. They’re yours for free. I would love it if you subscribed to my newsletter and blog. That way you’ll be in the know about freebies and other goodies as they arrive. You’ll also be the first to find out about new stock, competitions and my latest project, SVG cutting files (but more about that later).
This year I’m planning a few changes here at Sew Crafty Goodness. I’m focusing on paper crafting and in particular cutting machine projects. I’ve come to realise that paper is my one true love. Perhaps it comes from my background in graphic design. Or it may be the recent-ish discovery of home cutting machines. But I seem to spend most of my time around paper. I currently own three cutting machines – a Brother Scan N Cut, the Silhouette Cameo and the Silhouette Curio. I’m coveting the latest Cricut Maker but I’d need to get a third job to justify spending money on another machine.
So coming up this year will be lots of cutting machine projects with my various machines and I’ll be sharing my SVG files for these projects. (If you subscribe to my newsletter you’ll have access to freebies). And of course cutting machine projects won’t strictly be for paper – there’ll be felt and fabric projects as well. Plus I’ll be continuing with my usual art and creative endeavours – art journaling, collage, hand lettering and calligraphy.
Stationery is still huge in my life (again it’s that paper thing). My shop will be stocking mostly stationery and paper craft items. I’ll share project life and traveler’s notebook scrapbooking projects and my planner and bullet journalling systems. Plus printables to go with all of this.
I can’t wait to get into the year! I have so much I want to share with you. If you haven’t already please follow me on Instagram : @sewcraftydeb where you’ll find what I’m up to in my crafty world. My happy place!
Now here are some freebies for you. I’ve created calendar pages for this year. I’ve included a yearly calendar page and a January and February calendar page. These are available in A4 size and also A5 size (which is set up as two pages to an A4 page for easy printing – eg. January and February are on the one A4 page – just cut in half on the cut line). A5 is ideal for your Kikki K planner (and the like). I have a Kikki K planner and have customised it to suit my needs. It’s kind of a hybrid bullet journaling and my own planner pages system. I will share my set up in an upcoming post. If you would like these files in another size, please message me and I’ll work something out for you. I’ve kept the designs simple and in black and white. That way you can get creative and customise how you’d like. You can use highlighter pens, coloured pencils, paint, washi tape, stickers, whatever you like to dress them up. Have fun!
I’ll share two new calendar pages every second month (hopefully before the start of the month :|). So next month I’ll share the free files for March and April. If you’d like the full set for the entire year now, please get in touch and I’ll organise that for you. I know some people are super organised with their planners and have everything printed and in their planner for the whole year (mmm hmm – that’s not me btw).
So follow the links under the image to download your files. Enjoy 🙂
