I’ve started another creative thing. Yes I know I’m already doing the Tinkersketch sketch a day challenge, the Get Messy Art Journalling challenge, the monthly Collage Club, the 30 Days to Better Hand Lettering, the Inspiration Information creative course by Meet Me At Mikes and various other Instagram and Facebook projects BUT THIS ONE really spoke to me.
It is a project run by Elle Luna in collaboration with The Great Discontent Magazine and you are asked to think about a project that you could do for 100 days. For the last little while I’ve been practising my hand lettering and calligraphy skills and was actually thinking about doing my own little hand lettering challenge whereby I post a quote a day on Instagram. And then BAM in a feed over in my Blog With Pip group this challenge popped up. It was the perfect fit. Immediately I knew what I would spend my 100 days doing. I love projects like this because it creates habit and makes you practice. And because you’ve signed up publicly (yes I did that a week ago on Instagram) you are accountable.
It’s a great project that anyone can sign up for and you can do whatever you like – whatever you think you can maintain for 100 days. I picked #100daysofhandletteredquotes because I think it will be pretty easy for me to follow through. It’s something I’m really keen to improve on, it can be quick and easy (which will be great for those days when I’m time poor), it can be as involved as I’d like it to be, it is portable (all I need is a pen and paper) and it will motivate me to search each day for a really meaningful quote that speaks to me and will continue to inspire me. And at the end of the 100 days I’ll have a really great book to look back on.
How about you? Would you like to join in? Is there something you think you could do for 100 days? There are some super fab ideas over at the . Pop over and have a look. I can’t wait to see what everyone shares.
